ZoomInfo is a B2B go-to-market platform. Sales teams, marketers and recruiters rely on ZoomInfo to find a company, reach the right people and act on intent.
This guide gives a ZoomInfo company overview and explains what the platform does. It covers the main products, with a close look at ZoomInfo Copilot. It shows where its contacts come from, what ZoomInfo costs and how its privacy program works. We checked every fact in October 2026 against ZoomInfo's own website, its developer docs, the ZoomInfo Trust Center and its Form 10-K for 2025.
We are not affiliated with ZoomInfo. BillionVerify is an email verification service. Many users export contacts from ZoomInfo and then email them. Near the end, we explain how to check those addresses first.

What Is ZoomInfo?
ZoomInfo is a platform for go-to-market (GTM) teams. GTM means everything a company does to win and keep customers: prospecting, marketing, sales and account growth. ZoomInfo Technologies sells information about each company and its professionals. It also sells the software and AI agents that act on that information.
The ZoomInfo homepage calls it "an all-in-one AI GTM Platform that helps B2B sales, marketing, RevOps, and customer success teams find, win, and grow business." Its 10-K calls ZoomInfo "a global leader in modern go-to-market software, data, and intelligence for sales, marketing, operations, and recruiting teams."
In practice, a ZoomInfo user can:
- Run a ZoomInfo company search by industry, size, location and technology.
- Find decision-makers with their work email and direct phone number.
- Watch for signals such as intent, job changes and funding rounds.
- Enrich CRM records so each contact stays current.
- Route leads to the right rep and trigger follow-up workflows.
Is it ZoomInfo or Zoom Info?
The correct name is ZoomInfo, written as one word with a capital Z and a capital I. Searches for "zoom info" and "zoom information" reach the same company. ZoomInfo Technologies is unrelated to Zoom Video Communications. Zoom is in fact a customer: the ZoomInfo homepage quotes a sales tools manager at Zoom.
What does ZoomInfo do?
ZoomInfo collects business information, cleans it and matches it to each company and person. It then delivers that information in the ZoomInfo web app, in a browser extension, inside CRMs and through an API. On top of that layer, ZoomInfo now runs AI products that research accounts and suggest next steps.
ZoomInfo Technologies: The Company Behind ZoomInfo
The legal name is ZoomInfo Technologies Inc. The homepage footer reads "© 2026 ZoomInfo Technologies LLC." The business grew out of DiscoverOrg, and the filing still lists DISCOVERORG among its registered trademarks.

ZoomInfo company overview 2026
The ZoomInfo company overview 2026 picture is a shift toward AI and usage pricing. The FY2025 report, filed in February 2026, describes AI products and rising AI consumption costs. Today, the homepage describes pricing as credits rather than fixed seats. Both points appear in the pricing section below.
How ZoomInfo Works: Three Layers
ZoomInfo's annual report describes the platform as three layers that build on each other.
The Intelligence Layer
The filing calls this the foundation of ZoomInfo's strategy. It holds "billions of data points about companies and contacts, such as intent, hierarchy, location, and financial information," gathered from first-party and third-party sources.
The Orchestration Layer
This layer merges and enriches ZoomInfo's sources. It assigns and routes leads and insights to the right people. The report says it creates "a dataset that is continuously updated and can be used to power automated business workflows."
The Engagement Layer
The third layer lets each team act on those insights. This is where reps reach out to the accounts and people the first two layers found.
ZoomInfo Products
The annual report names five core paid products: ZoomInfo Copilot, ZoomInfo Sales, ZoomInfo Marketing, ZoomInfo Operations and ZoomInfo Talent. Some come with add-on options. It also names a free community edition, ZoomInfo Lite. The website menu adds newer AI products.
ZoomInfo Copilot
ZoomInfo Copilot is listed in the website menu as an "AI sales agent." The report puts ZoomInfo Copilot first in its list of core paid products. It also names ZoomInfo Copilot and two other AI products as work that needs "substantial infrastructure investments."
The same report links ZoomInfo Copilot to cost. It mentions "rising AI consumption costs and customer onboarding expenses for offerings such as ZoomInfo Copilot and ZoomInfo GTM Studio." In short, ZoomInfo Copilot is a flagship AI product, and ZoomInfo treats it as one.
A ZoomInfo Copilot user works from the same ZoomInfo database as every other product. The homepage says AI "runs through every layer of ZoomInfo." It also says a GTM Context Graph "reasons across ZoomInfo data, your CRM, conversations, and buying signals to show why accounts are moving."
GTM Workspace
The menu calls GTM Workspace an "AI workspace for smarter GTM." Per the homepage, it "gives sellers AI agents for account research, meeting prep, and deal prioritization."
ZoomInfo GTM Studio
ZoomInfo GTM Studio is a tool to "build and run GTM workflows triggered by buying signals." The homepage also describes Agent Teams, which "coordinates specialized agents that run complete GTM plays." Its example is reactivating a champion who changed jobs. These plays run "within the approvals and limits your team sets."
ZoomInfo Sales, Marketing, Operations and Talent
- ZoomInfo Sales: the "company and contact database."
- ZoomInfo Marketing: an "actionable ABM platform."
- ZoomInfo Operations: "lead routing and data quality."
- ZoomInfo Talent: for recruiters, described as a way to "source the best and brightest."
ZoomInfo Lite
ZoomInfo Lite is the free edition. The homepage calls it a permanent free plan "that requires no credit card and no commitment." The filing calls it a "freemium" product with "a set amount of monthly credits." Users can earn extra monthly credits by joining the contributory network.
ZoomInfo Intent Signals and Enrichment
Two features explain why many buyers pay: intent and enrichment.
ZoomInfo intent
ZoomInfo intent shows which accounts are researching a topic right now. The homepage suggests you "use firmographic, technographic, and intent data to uncover high-potential segments." Firmographic means company facts like size and industry. Technographic means the software a company uses.
ZoomInfo intent signals are one part of a wider set. The developer docs count more than 50 buying and business signals. ZoomInfo's filing lists personnel moves, planned investments and technologies used next to intent. Reps use ZoomInfo intent signals to time their outreach.
The homepage also lists a "Buyer intent" solution to "reach ready-to-buy prospects." A related "Website visitor tracking" solution turns "page views into pipeline." Marketers often pair ZoomInfo intent with these tools to rank accounts.
ZoomInfo enrichment
Enrichment fills gaps in records you already have. ZoomInfo says it can "automatically enrich and cleanse contact and company records across your tech stack - not just your CRM." Enrichment keeps titles, phone numbers and company details current as people change jobs.
ZoomInfo Sources and Research
ZoomInfo explains its sources in its homepage FAQ. It builds records "from public web sources and company websites, SEC and regulatory filings, job postings, and a contributory network of business professionals."
Three more details from the same answer:
- Human review: "AI handles deduplication, and 300+ human researchers verify records."
- Scale: ZoomInfo "processes 1.5B+ data points daily."
- Scope: the platform "covers professionals in their business capacity, not consumers."
The report adds that its engine "gathers data from millions of sources" and then standardizes, matches, verifies and cleans it. It also describes a team of research analysts that tags anomalies.
Even so, every contact list ages. People change jobs and firms change domains. That is why an exported email address should be checked before it reaches your sender, as we cover below.
ZoomInfo Integrations
ZoomInfo connects to the tools sales teams already use. Its homepage says ZoomInfo "integrates natively with Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, plus 120+ sales engagement, marketing automation, and data warehouse tools." Named examples include Outreach, Salesloft, Marketo and Snowflake. Many searches focus on two setups: the ZoomInfo Salesforce integration and the ZoomInfo HubSpot integration.
ZoomInfo Salesforce integration
The ZoomInfo Salesforce integration brings ZoomInfo company records and contacts into Salesforce. With the ZoomInfo Salesforce integration, reps can work from Salesforce and keep fields enriched. ZoomInfo's filing says many customers use these integrations to pull ZoomInfo contacts into Salesforce and similar systems, or to push updates back.
How do you integrate ZoomInfo with Salesforce? You connect the two accounts, map the fields and choose which records to enrich. The exact steps depend on your ZoomInfo plan, so check the ZoomInfo integration with Salesforce in your admin settings. The filing also notes a dependency: if Salesforce refused API access, "this integration would not function."
ZoomInfo HubSpot integration
The ZoomInfo HubSpot integration works like the ZoomInfo integration with Salesforce, but for HubSpot CRM users. It enriches HubSpot contacts and companies with ZoomInfo records. Firms that run both tools often use the ZoomInfo HubSpot integration to keep marketing lists current.
Other CRMs and AI assistants
The SEC filing also names Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics and Oracle Sales Cloud. ZoomInfo says AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT connect through its MCP server. MCP is a standard way for AI tools to call outside sources.
ZoomInfo API, MCP and GTM.AI
Developers reach ZoomInfo through GTM.AI. The homepage says GTM.AI "gives developers and AI agents headless access to ZoomInfo data and the GTM Context Graph through an API, CLI," and an MCP server. The website menu lists ZoomInfo MCP with the line "Connect your AI to verified B2B data."

Screenshot: GTM.AI by ZoomInfo, October 2026.
The GTM.AI site offers "1,000 data + 1,000 AI credits free. No credit card." It shows a one-line install for Claude Code, Codex and its own GTM CLI.
The ZoomInfo developer documentation explains the API in detail. It says that with APIs, MCP and CLI, "you can access 100M+ companies, 500M+ professionals, and 50+ real-time buying and business signals." It also notes that "your subscription determines which API scopes and endpoints you can access, and rate limits apply."

How Much Does ZoomInfo Cost?
ZoomInfo pricing has changed, so check the date of any number you read. Two official statements describe it.
- The annual report (filed February 2026): ZoomInfo prices "based on the functionality, users, and records under management that are included in each product edition."
- The homepage FAQ (October 2026): ZoomInfo is "free to start with consumption credits based on usage." It "doesn't charge by fixed seat tiers." Cost scales with usage and workflow volume.
ZoomInfo does not publish a full price list on its homepage. For a paid plan, expect to talk to the ZoomInfo sales team. To start for free, use the Lite plan, a free trial of the full platform or the free GTM.AI developer credits.
Is ZoomInfo free?
ZoomInfo has a free tier. The Lite plan never expires and needs no card. Paid plans add more contacts, credits, users and features.
ZoomInfo Privacy, GDPR and Trust Center
ZoomInfo runs a public Trust Center at trust.zoominfo.com. The ZoomInfo Trust Center states: "ZoomInfo is a privacy-first company." It adds that ZoomInfo provides companies "with non-sensitive data, in a business context, for business purposes."

Screenshot: the ZoomInfo Privacy + Security Center, October 2026.
On GDPR, the homepage says ZoomInfo "processes professional contact data under GDPR's legitimate-interest basis, honors data subject rights." It lists ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and SOC 2 Type II. The ZoomInfo Trust Center adds TRUSTe Enterprise Privacy Certification and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Privacy questions go to privacy@zoominfo.com.
ZoomInfo Technologies also flags new rules in its filing. For example, California launched its Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP) on January 1, 2026. It lets consumers send one deletion request to many data brokers.
Companies That Use ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo says sales, marketing, RevOps, customer success and recruiting teams use it. Developers building AI agents also use it. Its customers range from startups to 8 of the world's 10 largest companies.
Typical roles among companies that use ZoomInfo:
- SDRs and account executives who need direct dials and work emails.
- Marketing teams that target accounts showing intent.
- RevOps teams that keep the CRM clean.
- Recruiters who source candidates with ZoomInfo Talent.
Most companies that use ZoomInfo connect it to a CRM, so the integrations above matter as much as the database.
ZoomInfo for Sales and Marketing
ZoomInfo for sales and marketing teams covers two jobs. Sales teams find and contact decision-makers. Marketing teams pick target accounts and run ABM campaigns.
The homepage lists both jobs in its solutions menu. "Contact & company search" helps teams "define markets, discover ideal buyers." "Lead generation" helps them "convert contacts into pipeline." For marketers, ZoomInfo Marketing is the "actionable ABM platform." For reps, ZoomInfo Sales holds the contact database.
Using ZoomInfo for sales and marketing works best when both groups share one account list. Marketing warms the accounts. Sales then reaches the people inside them. The next section covers how to use ZoomInfo for prospecting step by step.
How to Use ZoomInfo for Prospecting
A simple workflow shows how to use ZoomInfo for prospecting:
- Define your ideal customer. Pick filters for industry, headcount, region and tech stack.
- Build a company list. Use ZoomInfo company search to find accounts that match.
- Layer in signals. Prioritize accounts that show intent or recent change.
- Find the right people. Pull decision-makers by title and department.
- Sync to your CRM. Use the ZoomInfo Salesforce integration or the ZoomInfo HubSpot integration.
- Verify before you send. Check exported email addresses, then start outreach.
Reps who use ZoomInfo for prospecting often repeat steps 3 to 6 every week. Intent changes fast, so last month's list may already be stale.
ZoomInfo for Lead Generation
To use ZoomInfo for lead generation, start from accounts, not names. Score each account by fit and intent. Then pick two or three contacts per account and route them to a rep. Reps who use ZoomInfo for lead generation this way avoid emailing whole companies at once.
ZoomInfo Alternatives at a Glance
ZoomInfo competes with several contact tools. ZoomInfo itself publishes comparison pages for Apollo.io, Cognism and Lusha. Our guides cover three of the closest options:
- Apollo.io: a sales platform with a large database and a free plan. See our Apollo.io guide.
- RocketReach: a contact lookup tool with emails and phone numbers. See our RocketReach guide.
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator: LinkedIn's own prospecting tool. See our LinkedIn Sales Navigator guide.
Verify ZoomInfo Emails Before You Send
ZoomInfo gives you contacts. No database can promise that every inbox still accepts mail on the day you send. Records age between updates, and some domains accept every address, which hides dead mailboxes.
Before a campaign, check the export. Our page on ZoomInfo email verification explains how to clean a ZoomInfo list first.

BillionVerify's MX lookup shows which mail servers a domain uses.
BillionVerify checks each address in layers:
- Syntax: is the address written correctly?
- Domain and MX records: does the domain receive mail?
- SMTP: does the mail server accept this mailbox?
- Catch-all: does the domain accept any address? We report catch-all as its own result.
- Disposable and role addresses: is it a throwaway inbox or a shared box like info@?
You get 20 free credits every day you use your account, up to 600 a month. They never expire, and no card is needed. A valid or invalid result uses one credit. Unknown results are free, and re-checking within 24 hours is free too.
Two free tools help with single checks. A reverse email lookup shows the domain, organization and public signals behind an address. A phone number validator checks whether a ZoomInfo direct dial is valid for its country and shows the line type.

BillionVerify's deliverability check runs SPF, DKIM, DMARC and content checks.
