Where the emails live
In an Apify Google Maps dataset, emails is a list, not a column. Here's how to get from that to a verified file. Google Maps Scraper shows one run through several views. Overview has no email field at all. Contact info has emails, plural. Lead Enrichment has email, singular. Start with Contact info. The field is an array, so one place can hold info and support together. Lead Enrichment does the opposite. Each lead gets a row, with a name, a job title and one email. That email can be empty. File List Verify reads a single column, one address per row. Lead Enrichment fits as it is. Contact info doesn't yet.
Export only what you need
So export less. In the export dialog, Select fields keeps only what you list. Take title, website, phone, emails and place ID. Then split the array. Give each address its own row, repeat the place, and name the column email. Then look for repeats. Apify's FAQ has one of its own. Outside the Reviews view, a place with more than 5,000 reviews gets stored again. So dedupe on place ID, not on the name, or you'll lose real branches.
Apify's own email check
Apify has an email verification add-on too. It needs Business leads enrichment, so it works on leads. Here's how to read the result field. Its catch-all note matches ours. The addresses in the emails field still need a check, and that's the file you're holding.
Verify each run
Upload to File List Verify, one file per run. Each job stays in History, under Files. Open a job to follow it. Slow mail servers get retried automatically. Results show up line by line, and you get an email at the end. Valid goes out. Role is a shared mailbox. Catch-all gets its own small send. Unknown sits out. Invalid and disposable never reach your sender.
Germany, Austria and Switzerland
In German-speaking markets, add one more field: impressum. Apify reads the legal notice page and returns people with a role type, like owner or managing director. With that name and the domain, Email Finder can look up a verified address. That's paid accounts only, ten credits per hit.
Keep it running
Keep your own copy. A run's dataset is unnamed by default, and Apify deletes unnamed storage on a schedule set by your plan. On a schedule? A webhook can fire when a run finishes. Your script sends the file to our file API, and passes on only the statuses you chose.
What it costs
Credits work like this. Valid, invalid, catch-all and role take one each. Unknown, bad syntax and disposable take none. File uploads sit behind a paid account, and a single purchase of credits opens them.
