What one bounce does in Lemlist
Lemlist unsubscribes a lead from email after a single bounce. Here's how to get a clean CSV in first. That rule is in Lemlist's guide to lead statuses. One bounce, and the lead is off your email steps. What happens next depends on the campaign. Email-only, and it stops for that lead. Multichannel, and email steps are skipped, while LinkedIn keeps going. Lemlist's bounce guide says pause above 5%. Its alert fires at 10%. The automatic pause waits for 50%, after 100 leads. That's a last stop. Your list is the first one. So your CSV stops at BillionVerify on the way in. Only the rows you pick carry on to Lemlist.
Verify the list
Drop the file into File List Verify. The job carries on without you, and an email tells you when it's finished. Lemlist has its own labels. Deliverable sits closest to our valid. Accept All is our catch-all. Disposable keeps its name. Undeliverable sits closest to invalid. Unknown is unknown. One label needs care. Lemlist says prefixes like info and sales are often classed as undeliverable. We return a working shared inbox as role. Keep it, and write for a shared inbox. On Accept All, Lemlist's tip is the plan we'd use for catch-all too. Give them their own campaign, and watch the bounces. It even gives you a test. If your domain is strong and bounces are under 3%, you can try them. Over 5%, or on a new domain, leave them out. Back in BillionVerify, pick one status at a time, and export a file for each campaign.
Fix the headers
Now the headers. Lemlist auto-maps its standard names, and they're case-sensitive. So Email goes lowercase. First Name and Company Name lose the space, like firstName. Other columns turn into custom variables, including our verification columns. Delete those first. Column names go in row one. Every row needs an email, because that's Lemlist's unique ID. Save as pure CSV, in UTF-8.
Import into Lemlist
In your campaign, open Leads list and click Import new leads. Choose CSV import, and read each suggested mapping. On the last screen, verifying existing emails is optional, since this file is checked. Then pick a duplicate rule. This campaign only. Leads in progress elsewhere, which lets finished leads back in. Or any campaign on your team. Check a few leads before you launch. Wrong file? Import history has a trash icon. That rollback deletes the whole import, and you can't undo it. Lists age. Lemlist's tip is to re-verify anything more than six months old.
What it costs
On cost, valid, invalid, catch-all and role use one credit each. Unknown, bad syntax and disposable cost nothing. File uploads need a paid account, and any purchase of credits turns them on.
