1. 00:00What Diamond covers

   Cognism's Diamond data confirms the phone number. Here's what that leaves open for the email, and how to check it before you send. Cognism calls the numbers, and confirms the right person picks up. That's a real check, and it's a check on the phone. The email is a different field. Cognism's API gives it a quality value. Medium, high or high plus. A verified mobile doesn't test that inbox. And email ages. Cognism's own VP of Data puts it this way. You might have an email that was even verified. But if that was a long time ago, it's no longer the right one. In the API, a redeemed contact shows the address, that quality value, and a last confirmed time. What you get also depends on your entitlements, and your CSV headers may differ.

2. 00:48Export the list

   Now the export. In Cognism, exporting reveals contacts automatically. If a contact hasn't been revealed during your current contract period, that export uses Cognism credits. Size changes the route. The My Contacts tab exports up to 1,000 contacts per action. A list you build goes up to 10,000 in one action. So put a big list into a List first, then export the CSV. Cognism can also sync straight to your CRM. For anything going out by email, take the CSV route, so there's a file to check first.

   Drop the CSV into File List Verify. The number you see is unique emails, not rows. Once it runs, each status gets a count. These are bigger sample lists, not Cognism data, so your mix will differ.

4. 01:33When the label disagrees

   Labels and results won't always match. For example, a high plus can come back catch-all. A high can come back valid. A medium can come back invalid. When they differ, go with today's answer. Cognism's deliverability guide names two groups to avoid. Your results now mark both of them. Keep them out of the main send, and decide later if they earn a smaller one.

5. 01:54Route the results

   Here's the Cognism twist. Valid goes into your email sequence. Catch-all and role go separately. Unknown waits. But when an email comes back invalid or disposable, don't delete the contact. That mobile may still be good, so move them to your call list. Cognism's data decay guide tracks contacts that haven't been reviewed in the past 90 days. If a list has sat that long, verify it again before it goes out.
